REIMBURSEMENT AND COMPENSATION

Policy Statement

Certified Co-Parents are not employees of the Agency and therefore applicable income taxes are not deducted. The Agency contracts with individuals to provide foster-care services and they are reimbursed and compensated on a per-child, per-day basis.

The Agency does not offer a guaranteed salary in the event of vacancies. Therefore, reimbursement and compensation should be considered secondary to an alternate and primary source of income.

Benefits

Certified Foster-Parents are eligible for membership with the Colorado State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA) regardless of capacity or vacancy. CSFPA members also receive discounts on sponsored training, and the annual conference.

Reimbursement and Compensation

Foster-Parents are reimbursed and compensated with one monthly check by the 20th day of the month following the month in which services were provided. Services provided in January, for example, will be reimbursed by February 20th. The one check will include a state regulate maintenance rate plus compensation.

Therapeutic Resource Homes

This program is an association of therapeutic foster-homes that care for children of all ages. Total reimbursement and compensation is prorated at $800.00 per child for each full month each child is in placement, or prorated per diem for partial months.
